CHICKEN SUIT SUIT VERDICT

The Kern High School District has been found liable for injuries to a student in a chicken suit.

The incident happened during a rally in 2010 at Bakersfield High School and the jury sided with the plaintiff, according to his attorney. The penalty phase begins Tuesday after Monday’s verdict in favor of Mitch Carter who claims he suffered permanent injuries when as many as 30 people piled on top of him. The chicken suit represented a Golden Eagle who the Drillers were getting ready to play in a football game.
