AT&T cell phone service is mostly restored in the Lake Isabella area after a cell tower burned down in the early hours of the Erskine Fire. Company spokeswoman Barbara Winn told Kern County Supervisors Tuesday that the cooperation of the Fire and Sheriff’s departments helped get service restored sooner rather than later.

Emergency responders were hampered when the fire broke out Thursday because a lot of their phones used AT&T service.
