The Kern High School District has released a statement about the settlement in the so-called “Chicken Suit”.

The KHSD agrees that the 2010 incident should not have happened and says they accept the jury’s verdict from Monday, which found them liable for Mitch Carter’s injuries.

The District also says it will be evaluating “its standards, policies and practices to ensure that every student is educated in a safe and secure environment”.
