An apartment fire in south Bakersfield has emptied a six unit building.The call came in the noon hour Tuesday at the Parker Avenue Townhomes near Stine Road. Two apartments were gutted and four others were left unlivable because of damage in a shared attic for the six unit building. The cause is unknown and damage is estimated to be between $400,000 to $500,000. No one was injured and it’s uncertain how many people were displaced.
