A state appeals court has upheld the restitution payment that Taft High School shooter Bryan Oliver was ordered to pay. Tuesday’s ruling in Fresno means Oliver owes victim Bowe Cleveland nearly $860,000 for injuries from the attack in January 2013 attack despite his attorney’s argument Oliver has no income.

He was sentenced to 27 years in prison and may be eligible for parole after 13.
