LAST OF ERSKINE EVACUEES TO BE PLACED

The Red Cross is helping move the last remaining Erskine Fire evacuees from a temporary shelter into a long term facility. The shelter at Kernville Elementary School closes Thursday at noon, and spokeswoman Carmela Burke says they have been partnering all week with local charities and the Health Department to get people housing, food and medical care.

Only three more families need to find another place to live. The Erskine Fire is expected to be fully contained today.
