Kern County Public Health is trying to help the Arby’s on Rosedale Highway in northwest Bakersfield stay in business after having to shut it down for a second time.

Department Director Matt Constantine said they had discussions Tuesday with the franchise owner about why rodent infestations and poor food safety returned after being shut down in mid-June. Constantine said it’s very unusual to have a second failed inspection so soon after a closing and there’s no timeline when Arby’s in the Promenade may reopen.
