The Erskine Fire Local Assistance Center is preparing to shut down. It’s open until 4:00 PM Sunday at Woodrow Wallace School in Lake Isabella. The Kern County Firefighters Union is there through the weekend and the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation will be there Sunday. The firefighters are handing out $100 debit cards to help with expenses for those who lost their homes before wrapping up the relief effort. The Buddhists are providing $500 debit cards. Those who lost homes who have not been to the assistance center are urged to go there this weekend.
