Those wanting to run for Bakersfield City Council should be getting ready to file papers. Monday is the start of nomination filing with applicants needing twenty to thirty signatures of registered voters within their ward. Councilmembers Terry Maxwell and Jacquie Sullivan are up for re-election as is Vice Mayor Harold Hanson in Wards 2, 6 and 5 respectively.
