Three fires that have burned thousands of acres in Kern and L.A. counties are either fully contained or close to it.

The Erskine Fire near Lake Isabella is at 100% containment after destroying 285 homes and scorching 48,000 acres. The 1,800 Deer Fire near Bear Valley Springs is at 99% containment, and the 1,100 acre Sage Fire in Santa Clarita is 85% contained.
