A sold-out crowd greeted Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall at his last State of the City Luncheon. The annual event hosted by the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce focused on Hall’s achievements in his 16 years at the post, and the mayor talked about his favorite memories and proudest moments during his four terms during Tuesday’s speech. He also encouraged people to reach out to less fortunate members of the community.

Hall says he will stay active in the community but will not make an endorsement in November’s runoff election to replace him.
