VALENTINE’S DAY SHOOTER SENTENCED

A man convicted of shooting a Delano homeowner through the heart on Valentine’s Day has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

Juan Molina says he shot Adrian Garner by accident last year when he went looking for someone else, but Deputy D.A. Joseph Kinzel says Garner was trying to defend himself against an armed home invasion robbery. Molina was also convicted of trying to destroy or conceal evidence. He will have to pay restitution to the victim’s family.
