Kern County is suing a medical marijuana dispensary for violating the moratorium on new shops. Supervisors voted Tuesday to file a civil suit against Green Frog Health Center on Alta Vista Drive in central Bakersfield, which opened for business after ban was enacted in May.

The county is completing an environmental impact report and reviewing recent court cases regarding pot shops.
