VETS HONOR KOREAN WAR CEASE FIRE

Veterans and Korean-Americans came to Bakersfield’s Jastro Park to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Korean War cease fire. They braved the triple digit heat for Wednesday night’s event, and Korean War Veterans Association President Michael Sabol said he was feeling good that the so-called “Forgotten War” is remembered.

Kern County lost 68 service members in the war that technically never ended.
