FEMA trailers may soon be on the way for Erksine Fire victims.The trailers would be provided temporarily to those who lost their homes. The State Office of Emergency Services said Friday they contacted federal officials about transferring trailers from their excess equipment program. The trailers have been in California since last year when they were delivered in anticipation of severe flooding, but were not used. FEMA trailers became notorious in the wake of Hurricane Katrina for being uninhabitable due to mold and poor construction, but those trailers have not been in use since then.
