The sign up period to have Erskine Fire debris and ash removed from property has been extended. Kern County Health says residents have until September 6th to request the no-cost removal. People can stop by the Debris Removal Operations Center on Lake Isabella Boulevard weekdays to sign up with final completion of the project expected before the end of the year. The Health Department says the ash and debris can contain dangerous materials that should not be handled or left in the environment.
