There’s a new event to promote downtown Bakersfield business.The first ever Heart of Downtown Business Expo is set for Thursday, August 18th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Westchester on F Street. The DBA is hosting the event to show off the variety of businesses that operate downtown. VIP tickets are available as well and tickets are at the door for $5, $10/VIP. DBA VP Melanie Farmer says people who typically do business with their local, neighborhood businesses may want to see what’s available in the city center by coming to the expo.
