A mom’s acquaintance is jailed in baby’s head injury.A one-year-old child is in serious but stable condition at Children’s Hospital in Madera after being left with a man at the Super 8 Motel in Buttonwillow. 26-year-old Richard Graham of Riverside is being held on $1 million bail for assault on a child after the mother brought the baby to Mercy Southwest Hospital early Sunday with serious injuries. She told investigator she left the child with an acquaintance. The woman works in the Buttonwillow area and has been staying at the motel.
