A fire that broke out in a apartment in Golden Hills has caused $100,000 in damage, and the cause is being investigated.

Kern County fire arriving around 9:00 Monday night found the small complex on Madre Street was 50% involved with flames. Five of the eight units were occupied but no one was hurt.
