Eye Street in downtown Bakersfield is closed Wednesday between Police Headquarters and City Hall so a new emergency communications tower can be installed. The closure at Truxtun Avenue goes from 6:00 in the morning until 6:00pm. Pedestrian access in the one-block area will also be restricted.
