The public met with a wide variety of law enforcement at the National Night Out gathering at Bakersfield College. The BPD SWAT team was the hit of Tuesday’s event, where Sgt. Ryan Croker enjoyed dressing kids up in body armor and seeing them climb around the assault vehicle. Parents lined up to take pictures of their kids wearing gas masks and holding the actual sharpshooter rifles police use on the job.
