UFW ASKS CORONER TO LOOK AGAIN

The United Farm Workers wants the Coroner’s Office to investigate the deaths of three table grape laborers near Arvin, despite a ruling that one of them is not related to the extreme heat at the time. The UFW believes the trio may have died of heat exhaustion or that the heat may have been a contributing factor.

The Coroner says 60-year-old Galdina Alvarez passed from heart issues.
