A local chamber is opposing an agriculture pay proposal.The Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce has come out against a bill to change overtime rules for agriculture. The chamber opposes AB 1066 which would require overtime be paid after eight hours a day or forty hours a week instead of the current ten/day and sixty/week. Proponents say agriculture should have the same rules as other industries.
