Public Health has a warning for visitors about what’s in the water at Lake Ming.Kern County Public Health Services is asking people to stay away from Lake Ming after tests showed harmful levels of bacteria may be in the water. Three separate inspections for the indicator pathogen have come back positive over the past two years, and Director Matt Constantine says they’re trying to find where the problem is coming from and suggests it may be from the bathrooms, although they can’t be sure yet. The advisory to stay out of the water is precautionary, Public Health has posted signs at the lake warning people of the risks.
