Sheriff Donny Youngblood will go before the Board of Supervisors next meeting.The Sheriff will be there to ask them to fund the hiring and training of new deputies. The estimated cost of $1.4 million for 53 new hires isn’t to increase the number of deputies but to replace those that are anticipated to leave. The department has been losing about fifty deputies each year.
