The man killed by gunfire on McNew Court near Cottonwood Road has been identified.The coroner says the victim was 24-year-old Markus Jones of Bakersfield. He was shot multiple times around 8:30 Wednesday night. Sheriff’s deputies have not identified a suspect and are asking for anyone who may know something to come forward.
