Two people have died and two others are seriously injured in a head-on collision on Highway 178.The crash happened four miles east of Kern Canyon Road. The CHP says a Honda crashed into a pickup truck around 3:00 Monday afternoon and a medevac helicopter was sent to take a critically injured person to the hospital while the other was transported by ambulance. The Honda had both fatalities and the  most seriously injured passenger. The driver of the pickup was the one taken by ambulance. No cause or identities have been released yet.
