A Bakersfield woman who took a plea deal in a fatal hit and run has been sentenced to nine years in prison.20-year-old Nancy Marquez had been drinking before she struck 58-year-old Robert Moreno on Columbus and Hailey streets as he was walking his son to work last December.

Moreno’s family spoke outside the courtroom Tuesday, saying the punishment is not enough.

Marquez loses her license for three years and must pay restitution.
