The Sheriff’s Office has cited seven people for underage drinking in just the first day of the Kern County Fair. Five people were ticketed for being minors with alcohol Wednesday and two others were given citations for providing alcohol to minors. Deputies are able to patrol for violators at the fair because of a grant from the state Alcoholic Beverage Control.
