CEDAR FIRE FINALLY SURROUNDED

The Cedar Fire in the Sequoia National Forest is finally fully contained. The wildfire has burned over 29 thousand acres since August 16th but areas closed since then are open as of Friday. The Kern River Ranger District warns there are still smoldering embers, fire debris and serious erosion dangers in the areas that were burned. The fire actually was still not 100 percent contained when the man who started it was sentenced to 13 months in jail, which happened Thursday.
