Bakersfield police have a new police dog and he comes from Slovakia. Rocco is a two-year-old Belgian Malinois that was from local resident Pamela Clark.

K-9 Officer Jonathan Berumen and Rocco have finished initial training and are now being assigned to a patrol detail, which typically results in four to six years of service for the partnership.
