The man accused of stealing a car on 19th Street in downtown Bakersfield with two babies inside pleaded not guilty.The man was arrested on a list of charges including kidnapping. The judge has set bail Friday at $500 thousand for 37-year-old Jesus Vences calling his alleged actions “callous and depraved.” No one was hurt in Wednesday’s incident.
