A pair of national health agencies are joining forces to with Kern Medical to tackle Valley Fever.The Centers for Disease Control and National Institute of Health are joining Kern Medical to find better ways to diagnose cases of Valley Fever. The work begins this week at Kern Medical aiming to cut down on doctors missing the fungal disease, even in Kern County where it’s common. Local experts will help researchers from Duke University to conduct the clinical trials.
