NELSON PARK BREAKS GROUND

NELSON PARK BREAKS GROUND

The parents of fallen police officer David Nelson have broken ground on a new pocket park named for their son. The space at Niles and Monterrey streets in east Bakersfield will open this spring after being in the works for the past two years. It is an area that Officer Nelson used to patrol.

The $300,000 price is being picked up by private donors.
