The head of Kern County Child Protective Services says her agency will pursue legal action against the woman who attacked a case worker with a knife. The victim was wounded in the hand as she tried to leave a house where the welfare of a baby was being investigated. A statement released by Dena Murphy says they are saddened by the attack.
