A voluntary recall has been issued for cucumbers that were sent to local schools and hospitals. Prime Time Produce notified County Public Health Monday] that the vegetables may be tainted with salmonella. Bakersfield City Schools, the Greenfield Union School District and several local hospitals served the cucumbers in salads during mid to late October but no illnesses have been reported.
