USDA HELPS WITH DEAD TREES

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering money to help private land owners deal with dead trees.Property owners in Kern County could get help removing conifer trees killed by the drought. The initiative is for properties with at least one acre of forest and priority is being given to areas where at least twenty percent of the forest has died. The deadline to sign up with the USDA is December 9th.
