The Kern High School District Board of Trustees is holding a special session on guns.The board will consider whether to allow staff and faculty members to carry guns on campus. Thursday afternoon’s meeting was called for Wednesday morning, giving 24 hours notice as required by law. The meeting is at the board room on Sundale Avenue in southwest Bakersfield at 2:00 PM. CCW permit holders have been allowed to carry weapons on school campuses in California from 1926 to last year when Gov. Brown signed a law that would either ban guns or require superintendents to give permission to permit holders.
