It took crews more than two hours to mop up a two alarm fire in a large storage building off Oak and Bank streets in central Bakersfield. The first call came around 2:45 Wednesday morning and backup was ordered as flames spread to some cypress trees and the high amount of stored materials.

Damage is about $50,000.
