The coroner’s office will determine the cause of death for a one-month-old Rosamond baby who stopped breathing on Monday. Deputies performed CPR on the infant around 6:00 p.m. on Stagecoach Lane until medical aid arrived, but the tiny girl could not be revived.

Child deaths are investigated in Kern County as a matter of protocol.
