The California Highway Patrol is changing the location of their Bakersfield office. A 39-thousand square foot building opens Monday on Compagnoni Street, at Taft Highway and Highway 99 in Pumpkin Center. It features the latest in communications technology, a fallen officers memorial and it replaces the CHP office on Buck Owens Boulevard. There’s a new phone number, too. 661-396-6600.
