Kern County has dropped its lawsuit against the High Speed Rail.Both sides agreed not to have the bullet train run through downtown Bakersfield, parallel to Truxtun Avenue with a station near the Amtrak station. They agreed on a proposed High Speed Rail station at F Street and tracks would run alongside Golden State Avenue. The county and rail authority will each pay their own attorneys fees.
