A stolen truck with an unlabeled tanks had firefighters and a hazmat crew feeling nervous. Firefighters responding to the intersection of First and L streets in central Bakersfield found themselves dealing with an unknown liquid spilling from a stolen truck. Nearby residents were told to shelter in place around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon. A hazmat crew finally determined it to be diesel fuel, and the spill was cleaned up.
