A man is recovering after being shot while sitting in his truck in east Bakersfield. Police say the victim is in his 40s and was hit in the upper body around 9:30 Monday morning on Sugar Loaf Lane near Fairfiax Road.

The gunman was a man who drove by and fired. Officers don’t have a motive or a suspect.
