Police say the officer who shot and killed a suspect following a pursuit that ended at Niles Street and Alta Vista Drive in east Bakersfield was Clifton Ary, who’s been with BPD for seven years. Officers had been looking for 27-year-old Antonio Garza for attempted murder when he was shot last Tuesday.
