Longtime Bakersfield City Councilman Harold Hanson is considering running to get his old job back in Ward 5.Hanson says he’s waiting to see who else may run to replace the late Jeff Tkac, The 16-year councilman won’t run if there’s a candidate he feels he could support. So far, only Ryan Nance is an announced candidate, saying he wants to be involved in the city’s proposed road projects. Nance finished third in November behind Tkac and Hanson and announced another run last Sunday. Candidates may file to run starting February 13th for the June 6th special election.
