Bakersfield City Councilman Ken Weir has been elected as the Chairman of the Kern County Republican Party. He will hold the position until 2020 and replaces Dean Haddock. The party also announced Monday that Bakersfield attorney Chad Louie has been elected Vice Chairman of the 23-member Republican Central Committee.
