The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has not been responding to non-emergency calls right now as they install a new computer-aided dispatch system, although the transition is expected to be completed Wednesday morning.

Calls are evaluated to determine if sending a deputy is necessary. Property crimes will be referred to the online reporting system.
