Sheriff’s deputies are looking for witnesses to an early morning shooting Wednesday that left a man in critical condition.

The suspect opened fire as the victim was driving out of a parking lot at the Camellia Garden apartments on Cottonwood Road southeast Bakersfield and then ran off. The driver then crashed into a yard.
