MORE AIR REGULATIONS

The California Air Resources Board has approved new regulations to curb so-called “super pollutants”.The particulates are short-lived in the atmosphere, but are especially unhealthy. Thursday’s approval aims to cut methane emissions by 45 percent over the next 9 years. Federal methane rules are being loosened just as CARB tightens regulations. Methane regulations particularly affect dairies in the southern San Joaquin Valley.
